S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) is a constituent unit of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, which was founded in 1938 by the then Kulpati Dr. K.M. Munshi and 53 other eminent professionals. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950. It is a trust of repute and eminence and is universally recognised for its educational as well as cultural activities.
In India, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan has more than 37 institutes, over 106 Kendras (Centers) 11 Colleges, 78 schools. It also has international centers in the UK, USA, Canada, Portugal, South Africa, Kuwait, Mexico and Australia.

ACHIEVEMENTS OF SPJIMR

A few of the recent achievements of SPJIMR are: -

1. AIU (Association of Indian Universities) recognized our two-year full time Diploma Program in Management as equivalent to an MBA degree.
2. SPJIMR is one of the five institution selected by Wadhwani Foundation from 189 Indian Institutions to become the member of National Entrepreneurship Network along with IIM (A), IIT (Mumbai), BITS (Pilani) and IBAB (Bangalore).
3. Aspen Institute, US has invited SPJIMR, the only one from Asia, along with other 12 global institutions to develop pedagogy for Teaching Improvement Program (TIP) integrating CSR in the Management curriculum.
4. Based on SPJIMR reputation, quality of management education and infrastructure facilities, the Ministry of Education of the Singapore Government with whom SPJIMR has academic collaboration, accorded S.P. Jain Centre of Management a degree awarding institution status. There are only three other institutes from INSEAD (France), Chicago Business School (USA) and University of New South Wales (Australia) to receive this status.
5. SPJIMR is one of the very few Management Institutions to have achieved the 'A' grade status of accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation in 2003.

Selection Process:
Test score: CAT 2008 or XAT 2009 or GMAT (taken in 2008).
This year SPJIMR will have the interview process scheduled during December 2008 through March 2009. Since the interviews commence before the CAT2008/XAT2009 results are declared, the short listing for the first round of interview will be on the basis of academic performance, versatility in extra-curricular activities and relevant work experience. Candidates who clear the first round will appear for a second round on the same day. However, the minimum score required to get the final offer is 85 percentile in CAT2008/XAT2009 or a score of 680 in GMAT taken in 2008Locations for the interview process will be announced in due course of time.
Please note: All admissions to SPJIMR are strictly on merit basis. There is no management quota. The entire admission process is on qualification basis and no intervention is possible. Fee Structure
Program fee is Rs. 5.70 Lakhs (for PGDM 2008-2010). Fees for PGDM 2009-2011 will be announced shortly.

Financing
Banks like SBI, Corporation Bank & Union Bank of India provide loan based on the offer letter given by SPJIMR. SBI is also running a Scholar Scheme, under which they are providing educational loan to SPJIMR students without any guarantor or collateral.
