B-Schools education relies a lot on infrastructural resources. XIMB bas been consciously and consistently building its educational infrastructure since its inception. We have embraced technology to an extent very few of our peers have done.

Admission Test
Applicants are required to take the Admission Test (XAT) to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on 4th January, 2009. For this, applicants have to log on to www.xlri.eduhttp://www.xlri.edu and apply online for XAT. Registering for XAT is a prerequisite for applying to XIMB.

Applicants have to also apply (online) separately for XIMB programme at: www.ximb.ac.in Upon successfully filling the online application form the payment advice form can be downloaded. The applicant must take a printout of the same payment advice form and mail it to the Admissions Office, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar-751013, accompanied by the application fee (non-refundable) in one of the following ways


* Original Bank remittance slip, after depositing Rs.1000/- (in cash) at any State Bank of India core branch in the Current A/c No. 30463061882 of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar; OR


* Original Bank remittance slip, after depositing Rs.1000/- (in cash) at any branch of AXIS Bank into the S/B Account No. 024010100084039 of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar; OR


* A Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- made out in favour of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.
On receipt of the DD or Bank remittance slip/counterfoil for the required amount and the payment advice form, the Bulletin 2009 will be mailed to the applicant. The last date for applying online is December 10, 2008.
It may be noted that besides registering for XAT one has to apply (online) separately to XIM, Bhubaneswar.
Online registration will be accepted subject to receipt of the application fee by XIMB. Upon receipt of the payment the eligible applicants will be intimated by e-mail about the acceptance of their applications.

Selection Process
The institute will decide the section wise as well as total cut-off marks, which will be used for shortlisting candidates to be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. GD & PI will held at Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. Candidates will have to meet their own travel expenses for appearing in the GD & PI. The final selection will be on the candidate's performance in the XAT as well as Group Discussion and Personal Interview(which factors in the past academic record and relevant work experience). The selected candidates will be informed by mail by around first week of April 2009.Admission
The programme will begin by the middle of June 2009 for the first year students. At this time the students will begiven a Manual of Policies and Regulations which will be binding on them.

Based on Performance, the following gold medals are awarded:
PGDM
# The Orissa Jesuit Society Medal for Social and Ethical Perspectives in Management is awarded to the student, who secures the highest Cumulative Quality Performance Index (CQPI) in the Business Ethics course.


# C.M. Kandoi Gold Medals for Academic Excellence is awarded to the top two rank-holders of the graduating class along with a cash award of Rs 10,000 / - to the first and Rs 5,000 / - to the second rank holder.


# The Faculty Council gold medal for Academic Excellence is awarded to each of the subsequent eight rank holders of the graduating class according to their CQPI.


# Leeta Misra-Ankalkoti Gold Medal is awarded to the top rank holder among the ladies in the class.

Scholarships & Financial Aid:
Bharti Foundation, a Bharti Enterprise, was established with a vision “To help underprivileged children and young people of our country realize their potential”. It awards scholarships to students pursuing higher education in management, engineering and agriculture. Bharti Foundation has instituted two scholarships to be awarded to two PGDM students of every batch to cover the student’s tuition fees, expenses related to courses, room and board up to a maximum of Rs.50,000/- per year, for the duration of the course. This scholarship is merit-cum-need based and is awarded on the basis of impressive academic performance, demonstrated leadership skills and responsible citizenry as well as financial need.
