1. INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT ,AHMEDABAD

ABOUT IIM AHMEDABAD
In just four decades IIMA has evolved from being India’s premier management institute to a notable international school of management. It all started with Dr Vikram Sarabhai and a few other public spirited industrialists realizing that agriculture, education, health, transportation, population control, energy, and public administration were all vital elements in a growing society and that it was necessary to link these meaningfully with industry. The result was the creation of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in 1961 as an autonomous body with the active collaboration of the Government of India, Government of Gujarat, and industry.
It was evident that to have a vision was not enough. Effective governance and quality education were seen as critical aspects. From the very start the founders introduced the concept of faculty governance: all members of the faculty play an important role in administering the diverse academic and non-academic activities of the Institute. The empowerment of the faculty has been the propelling force behind the high quality of learning experience at IIMA. The Institute had initial collaboration with Harvard Business School. This collaboration greatly influenced the Institute’s approach to education. Gradually it emerged as a confluence of the best of Eastern and Western values.

Increasingly recognized by recruiters, competitors, alumni, students and faculty alike, as India's most innovative and internationally oriented business school, IIMB is steadily improving its ratings among the top ten business schools in the Asia Pacific region. Its academically strong and multi-talented students score over nearly 50000 other applicants to get selected.
IIMB graduates go through a recently revised, balanced but rigorous program that ensures a complete coverage of core courses in the first year and a large range of optional courses in the second year, offered by a faculty who have substantive international teaching, research or consulting experience. IIMB is recognized for pioneering new types of courses and revising its curriculum frequently to keep pace with new trends worldwide in educational pedagogy. Apart from course work, students build their managerial skills and perspectives by conducting consulting assignments for local firms and interacting extensively with executives who speak at industry interaction forums and invitation seminars on campus.
Many IIMB graduates go through a substantive international experience as exchange students at the top schools of North America, Europe and Australia or in their summer assignments in North America, Japan or Europe or in an innovative new course that requires work at Singapore and Bangkok. It is this rich and varied educational experience and international cultural and corporate exposure that makes IIMB graduates ideal candidates for taking up a range of challenging managerial roles in your organization.
It is a time for major changes in organizations worldwide. Many organizations are forced to change themselves to cope with an environment that is increasingly unforgiving of creeping inefficiency and ineffectiveness in organizational strategies and processes. However, the popular option of downsizing the organization is never the best answer to the challenge of change. Organizations need more and better human resources, who can play the role of thinking up and implementing new ways of employing existing or new resources more effectively and competitively. I believe that the IIMB graduates you recruit will be very effective in directly or indirectly playing that role in your organization either immediately or over time.

Summer Internship Program
The Summer Internship Programme aims to widen the student's perspective by providing an exposure to real life organizational and environmental situations. Positioned between the first and second years, the programme is the most effecive aid in enabling our students to relate management theory to practice.
The organization, in turn benefits from the objective and unbiased perspective the student provides based on concepts and skills imbibed in the first year at the institute. The summer interns also serve as unofficial spokespersons of the organization and help in image building on campus.
Typically, projects are interdisciplinary and involve assigning independent responsibility to the summer interns, under the guidance of a senior executive. Often the project assignment is confidential and proprietary in nature, which reflects the confidence imposed in the intern by the organization. The work done by our students has been greatly appreciated by many organizations and a significant number of their recommendations have been implemented successfully.
Projects have been undertaken in the areas of strategy formulation, business process reengineering, MIS, ERP implementation, retail/investment banking, industry analysis, new product launches, sales & distribution, market research and advertising among others.
An additional benefit that organizations have come to realize, is the unique opportunity to evaluate the student from a long-term perspective. This is reflected in the increasing number of pre-placement offers (PPOs) made to Summer Interns by highly satisfied organizations.

5. INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT ,INDORE

Indian Institute of Management Indore - the youngest sibling in the family of IIMs - has travelled quite a distance, since its inception ten years ago. Rubbing shoulders with some well established giants, IIM Indore has now carved a niche for itself in the corporate world and the eight batches that have passed out stand testimony to the fact. The essence of management, IIMI believes, lies in managing one's own ambitions and forging ahead consciously. Spanning two years the programme is benchmarked against similar programmes of the best business schools in the world. Experiential learning, IT orientation, and Social SensitivitybSocial Sensitivity are some of the unique features of the programme. To back this up IIM Indore has a solid infrastructure ranging from a 193 acre campus to a strong IT backbone to the latest in teaching aids.IIM Indore’s achievement in such a short span of time can be attributed to its innovative spirit and its will to excel.and, to a great extent, to the relationship it has developed with the Indore community.

7. XAVIER LABOUR RELATIONS INSTITUTE , JAMSHEDPUR

XLRI was founded in 1949 by Fr Quinn Enright, S.J. in the Steel City of Jamshedpur. Fr. PLACEMENTS

We at XLRI believe in creation of asset rather training of minds. In order to stand out in the present competitive world, managerial leadership requires both excellent functional skills and exceptional outlook. In today's vibrant marketplace businesses seek talents who have both analytical and interpersonal skills. Increasingly recognized by recruiters as a one of the India 's best B-school, XLRI's placement process aims to match the requirement of the recruiters and the aspirations of the students. The three main placement processes conducted are:
Summer Internship Process
The summer internship programme of 8-10 weeks aims to widen the student's perspective by providing an exposure to real life organizations and environmental situations. This in turn help organizations to build a long term relationship with the students community. The summer intern serves as unofficial spokesman of the organization and helps in image building on campus.
Lateral Recruitment Process
This is a process especially designed for candidates who have prior work experience. We believe that students with diverse work experience in different functional areas coupled with sound academics would add value to the organizations. These candidates are normally selected directly to hold managerial positions. It is a spread out process during the months of October-December.
Campus Recruitment Programme
The campus recruitment programme aims to meet the increasing demands of the business houses by providing resources that are valuable on two different counts, firstly in embodying new knowledge and skills and secondly, in embodying fresh outlooks, awareness, interests and approaches. The process takes place in the month of February wherein the companies from diverse sectors evaluate the students before committing to a permanent hire.
